The ten Qira’aat ( recitations ) of the Holy Quran are the same as the Holy Qur’an, as they are all revelations from Allah Almighty to His Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and they are not a distortion or change in the Holy Qur’an. The difference is only in the way some words are pronounced, and the ten readings are not opposites.
