Laylatul Qadr

Laylatul Qadr is also referred to as the “Night of Power” and falls within the last 10 days in the Holy month of Ramadan. It is believed to be the night when the first verses of the Holy Qu’ran were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PHUB), by the Angel Jibril, as a guidance for us all. On Laylatul Qadr calls for Lots of reflection and prayer, whilst completing good deeds and seeking forgiveness from Allah SWT. Muslims should make the most of Laylatul Qadr and show our devotion, faith, intention, tawwakul, sabr by completing lots of good deeds, reciting the Qu’ran, praying during the night, giving Sadaqah and making loads of Dua’s. Also, some Muslims spend most of their time during the last 10 days ans Nights in Ramadan in a mosque. Furthermore, Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months. It also falls on the odd numbered nights.

This is a Dua to read for Laylatul Qadr:

Allahumma Innaka’ Affuwwun Tuhibbul ‘Afwa Fa’Fu Anni

(Translation: “Oh Allah SWT You are the One who forgives greatly, and loves to forgive, so forgive me.” Aa’meen. Aa’meen.

Laylatul Qadr allows you to multiply your rewards, as the last 10 nights of Ramadan are the holiest of the entire month.
